Benvenuti! My name is Professor Reilly, but you can call me 'Prof!' I'm excited to join the Winthrop community this year, where I hope to spread my love for the Italian language and culture with my students. I've studied, taught, and lived in Italy and try to go back as much as I can.

My priority in the language classroom is for students to practice their communication skills as much as possible, whether through speaking, listening, writing or reading- participation during class time is key! I additionally aim for students to learn about a culture beyond their own-- Italy is so much more than pizza and pasta, possessing a rich cultural and political history that offers comparison to that of the United States. Learning a new language can be challenging; it demands patience and dedication, and it requires you to get comfortable being uncomfortable. That being said, I am always here as a resource for my students, and I encourage students to meet with me after school should they have any questions. Ci vediamo in classe!
