Hi All!
Thanks for clicking and deciding to learn more about me! This will be my 5th year teaching, but my 2nd year at Winthrop High School. This year I will be teaching sophomores, juniors and AP Language and Composition. Part of why I love teaching so much (aside from my love of books) is being able to take challenging texts and make them accessible for all. Yes, we will do plenty of writing and develop our skills as writers so we can achieve great things. However, my hope is that by finding ways to make learning fun, you will be able to think deeper about the text itself. Consider things like: what would Tom Buchanan look like in 2025? Can ambition ever be a bad thing? Is walking in someone else's shoes good parenting advice? Finally....what does Taylor Swift's new album have to do with Hamlet?
