Re-Establish Residency

Required verification process for students entering Grades 3, 6, and 9 for the 2025-2026 school year.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This notice is a reminder to complete the Re-Establish Residency process, required by School Committee Policy, to ensure your student's continued enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year.

The Winthrop Public Schools Residency Policy states that “students who are enrolled in the Winthrop Public Schools shall be required to re-establish residency prior to entering grades three (3), six (6), and nine (9).” This requirement helps ensure that all enrolled students are legal residents of the Town of Winthrop.

If you have not yet completed the Re-Establish Residency process, please do so no later than August 11, 2025. Families who do not complete the process by this date will not receive class placement or course schedules for the 2025-2026 school year.

If you need assistance, please contact your student's school using the information below.
