Athletics Registration

Register for Winthrop High School and Middle School athletics through Arbiter before the season begins.

Please make sure you are properly registered on Arbiter before your season begins.

  • Physicals and user fees can be dropped off to the HS/MS Main Office Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-1:00pm (Attention: Mr. DeGregorio).
  • All students must be registered before the first day of tryouts or practice to be able to participate.
  • Payment link and information is included below.

Registration FAQ

Do athletes need to register every season?
Yes. Arbiter registration must be completed for each season (Fall, Winter, and Spring).
When does registration need to be completed?
Registration must be complete before an athlete can participate in tryouts, practices, or team activities.
Are telehealth physicals accepted?
No. Telehealth physicals are not accepted.
Where do I submit the physical?
You may upload the physical to Arbiter, email it to mdegregorio@winthrop.k12.ma.us, or submit a hard copy to the HS/MS Main Office.

Registration Steps

Students must complete the requirements below to be eligible for athletics.

1) Arbiter Registration

Register for Winthrop High School and Middle School sports on Arbiter each season.

  • Athletes must register each season.
  • Registration must be complete before an athlete can participate.

2) Physical (Required)

Must be completed before the first practice.

Valid for 13 months Telehealth physicals are not accepted

  • Pay online using the link below.
  • Bank check or money order is also accepted (payable to Town of Winthrop).
  • User fee must be paid each athletic season.

4) SWAY Baseline Testing

Completed with the Athletic Trainer during the first week of pre-season.

  • Sway testing is conducted every other year for athletes.
  • New athletes, transfers, middle school students, and first-time participants complete baseline testing at the start of their first season.
