Cheerleaders Win Nationals
WHS Cheerleaders are National Champions
March 20-22, The Winthrop High School Cheerleading team, led by Coaches Rachel Mustone and Stephanie Bono and Captain Jessica Vigliotta, visited Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to compete at the Cheer Ltd. Nationals at Canam. The Lady Vikings qualified for the competition at the State Competition in November. In Myrtle Beach, the Vikings competed in a two-day competition against 10 other teams across the country. The girls came in first place on day one and were able to clench the victory on day two. This is the first time in Winthrop High School Cheer history that the girls took home a National title.

Educatius International is Looking for Host Families in Winthrop: Open your heart and your home...share our unique community! Invite an International student into your home. Educatius is currently accepting Host Family applications for the 2015-2016 school year. Host families are to provide a warm and supportive home and family environment, students should become part of your family. Educatius offers a monthly stipend for each student placed in their home, each family can host up to 2 students. Hosting a student can provide you with amazing opportunities and lifelong friendships.
